In the following video I will show you how to trigger custom voice notification on your Alexa Echo devices using the SmartThings Community App called Echo Speaks. You can write a vast variety of Echo Speaks routines to remind you to perform certain tasks at various times of the week. The voice notification can be customized to speak in male or female voices and in a multitude of dialects. Echo Speaks may also be used to report various events, like sending voice announcement and SMS messages when a multipurpose sensor opens or when motion is detected in a certain room.
